Using Telepathy To Communicate
Does it mean we believe in telepathy and that it exists, when we say an individual is 'telepathic?' Not many people think so.The idea is considered science fiction or mysticism and it's dismissed. Even though everyday we live with cell phones, computers and this through the use of invisible air waves which retrieve the information we need. Hundreds of jets (controlled by computers) take off and land everyday world wide.
As Arthur C. Clarke once said 'Any sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic'. It is certainly true that technology has advanced almost beyond what we could have imagined even fifty years ago. Using technology which is out of date by today's standards we have walked on the moon, visited the bottom of the ocean and created communication technologies which work without wires – it most certainly would appear to someone living a century ago that ours is a world filled with magic and unexplainable phenomena.
To the people living a century ago, all these things would have been considered impossible. But we know that they do exist. This begs the question: Is it not possible that telepathic people are merely operating in a way that science does not yet understand? But by much telepathy is still viewed as nothing more than magic.
The fields of paraphysics and parapsychology study (among other things) telepathic communication. Experiments are conducted in a scientific manner into the phenomenon of telepathy, with new data coming to light all of the time.
Individuals who are Telepathic and subjects of experiments have produced less than desired results and totally tantalizing. However, to be proven scientifically, the results of tests must be consistent, repeatable and measurable. And scientific investigation falls shore when it comes to telepathy. Results can't always be duplicated because they are inconsistent. This, so some say, proves individuals aren't Telepathic and still to other's it proves we have a lot to learn to understand and need more developed procedures for testing for telepathy.
But how could humans really be Telepathic? How can people communicate without the use of their five senses, using only thought alone? The obvious answer is through some means that we can't hear, see, smell, taste, or touch, but that exists nonetheless. On the one hand, humans can already do this artificially using communication technology—radio waves can't be observed with our five senses, but they definitely exist. On the other hand, the human brain is not a radio tower.
For the scientific community there is one very important reason why studies into Telepathy continue. The fact that thought waves can be defined as electrical and magnetic fields caused by the brain and this has been proven. Although things might become a little difficult to follow, we are going to attempt to explain all of this more simply.
Our thoughts are in fact what science calls neurons. These neurons move around our brain between different synapses. We know for a fact that as these neurons pass between the synapses they produce a tiny electrical current which in turn produces a tiny magnetic field. Despite their small size they can be measured and, at any given time, there are thousands and thousands of synapses firing neurons in our brains.
Is it not possible that the waves previously mentioned might be transferring content? It they do not then they would amount to nothing more than the brain's version of static. It would seem plausible to think that thought waves carrying content would play a part in people being able to communicate only with their minds. If this is so then one must wonder if, with the proper training, people might be able to exercise control over these waves. It could be possible that certain techniques like meditation and mind control could help to actually form these waves into a meaningful communication without the use of the five senses.
Another problem could be the relative weakness of the brain's electromagnetic field. We have computers, cell phones, TV sets, stereos, and appliances all over the place today; and they all generate electromagnetic fields-stronger ones than the brain's, meaning they might interfere with the brain's transmission capacity.
However, science has discovered that during times when we are afraid, in pain, feeling threatened or in shock the brain produces a spike in bio-electrical and bio-magnetic brain waves. This spike occurs during a heightened emotional state, because our synapses are firing more neurons between them at the same time.
There have been some documented events of telepathic activity in people going through these states. For example, there have been parents who know at once that their child is in trouble, even though they might be on the other side of the world. Is there something about these spikes in brainwave activity which causes telepathic communication? Is the fact that the two people are related a factor; or perhaps, is it merely coincidence?
There is too little scientific evidence to prove telepathy exists and there is still doubt. This is changing and there are more and more studies being conducted by scientists to show there are telepathic humans. With proper instruction and guidance this gift can be developed among the human population.
Why Do We No Longer Need To Learn Telepathy?
